What is the last book you added to your TBR?
If you could get an ARC of any book that comes out later this year what would it be?
So I just happened to be checking my Goodreads to figure out which book I would be most excited about to get an ARC of for the rest of the year, and this beautiful book has had it’s release date moved up to December 26th and I am just so dang excited. I know a lot of people have a love hate relationship with Kasie West books but I absolutely love her writing and they’re quick reads that can help me out of slumps so a new Kasie West book will be perfect!
What is your favorite place to read?
Honestly I’m pretty lucky and can read anywhere. When I was younger I used to get sick in the car but now a days I don’t seem to have that problem. But I would have to say my current favorite place to read would be anywhere that I can curl up with a pillow and some blankets and just cocoon myself for hours on end.
What author do you want to read more of?
I would have to say Sarah J. Maas would be the author I want to read more of. So far I’ve only read ACOTAR but I have Throne of Glass on my TBR for this month and I know people enjoy her books so I want to finish the ACOTAR series and get in to ToG as much as I can.
What author can you not get into?
Honestly with this one I’m not too sure. I know that I’m having a lot of trouble getting behind Katie Cotugno’s writing just because I found 99 days to be super problematic and it makes me nervous to start anything else by her even though I own Fireworks and currently have How To Love out from the library. I probably will not buy her new book until I finish at least one of those and see if I feel any differently.
What book do you think everyone needs to read?
After just finishing it myself and having it make me realize what an awesome job it does with Mental health rep I would have to say everyone needs to read Under Rose-Tainted Skies. Also it was so cute how it was a love story without the boy being the one to save her from her Mental Illness, since that’s clearly how things don’t work. I just feel like it had really good rep and people need to read it and love it like I do.
If you could turn any book into a movie/tv show what would it be?
Oh man I feel like this one is tough. Ok any book? uhm I think I would have to go with The Illuminae Files. Oh my gosh. Could you imagine having that as a TV show. Since those books happen over such a long period of time there could be so much stuff added in and then you could cliffhanger one season with Illuminae and jump to Gemina and people would be like but what about Kady and Ezra and then they’d get sucked in to Hanna and Nik. Alright, I just made myself way too hyped thinking about that as a TV show or maybe couple of movies.
What is your book dream vacation spot?
Currently I would have to say Love and Gelato or And We’re Off. Love and Gelato takes place in Tuscany which everything I’ve seen and heard just sounds so beautiful and scenic. Honestly anywhere in Europe would be good with me to see, but add it being beautiful on top of it and you can certainly sign me up for that! And We’re Off is one of those books were it’s kind of all over Europe, so yet again, perfect for me because I just want to see everything there is over there and just travel as much as possible.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Easy, Contemporary. Literally the biggest genre that I own is Contemporary. It’s honestly one of the fastest easiest things to read. They help me out of slumps and I try to make sure I throw a couple in with what I read each month that way I can try to keep myself out of slumps. Plus I’m a sucker for love stories, I love to get those butterflies in my stomach while I’m reading and that usually means I’ll be in love with whatever I’m reading if that’s the feeling that I get.
What is the last song you listened to? (Bonus if you can relate it to a book)
I can’t relate this to a book, I am just obsessed with this song right now. I know it looks like it starts weird but just listen to it, it’s gorgeous (the song that is, the video is creepy but it makes sense lol).
Who are your top 5 characters (books, TV, movies, anything)?
