Hello bookish friends! Another weekend is upon us. I’m doing as much reading as possible this weekend while I’m back home again celebrating my birthday just a little early since I have to work during the week when my actual birthday is. I know you’re all probably expecting some giant haul this week, BUT, I only received two subscription boxes this week which means I only got 2 books! Sorry for any disappointment, but I actually am pretty excited to have these books!

I may try and squeeze this in this weekend but of course that will throw off my TBR, but hey it’s me, that always happens. Let me know if you’ve read any of these or plan to! I’ll see you all soon.

So I’d just like to take a moment, to be proud of the fact that there were so many books that came out this week and I did NOT go buy a single one of them. Even with that being the case, I did get an order in from Book Outlet over the last weekend, so of course I have new books to share with you. I do have a question though, let me know in the comments if when I do the Book Outlet orders you guys want to know how much I paid for each book. I usually get a whole order just for the minimum so I can get free shipping, but I’d be glad to share the book prices if you want to see them. Let’s get right in to them!

So that’s my haul for this week. I will probably have a VERY large haul of new books next week because I got paid yesterday, and I need these books in my life, because it’s not like I don’t have a ton of other stuff to read as it is. What is life. Let me know if you’ve read any of these, I’d love to hear your thoughts, and see you all tomorrow!

Helllooooooo Lovelies. I don’t know about you, but I am so excited to have the weekend here. It’s beautiful out and tomorrow is Mother’s Day, so it’s bound to be a good weekend. So earlier, I believe last week. I went to Barnes and Noble, and you all know how I do there. I also went to Target and they had some new books I was purposefully seeing if they had them there so they would be cheaper. So let’s get to all the books already because there is a lot this week!

Anyway, I got them in this past week and would like to share what I got with you all! Let’s get in to the books.

Happy Saturday everyone! So I made a mid week trip to Barnes and Noble. Razz jumped in my lap while I was reading with coffee and happened to spill it all over my book. Of course when I got there they had a sale going on buy 2 get 1 free on paperbacks, so of course that turned this in to a way bigger haul then needed. I also filmed a Youtube video and uploaded it so I’ll embed it below then show off the books in the post as well in case you don’t want to watch!

Happy Saturday! So I haven’t made a big order of books in some time, so today I have a picture of an older Book Outlet order that I’m gonna share with you. Of course I have a problem with that website and am trying my hardest not to go look at what they have while I type this, because I’m about a month clean! But let me share my last purchase with you guys, which of course was around 35 bucks because I like to get my free shipping but not spend much more than that! I also have my February Owlcrate book and a book trade I made in this as well.

So I’ve done it again somehow. I’ve gotten extremely lucky and been approved for a handful of new books that I don’t know how I got them but I am beyond excited to read them. I think I may have to make next month a full month of ARCs just so I can catch up on all these new books! Since there are so few I’m going to add the Goodreads description of each book so you can check them out as well, and give release dates!

The Art of French Kissing by Brianna Shrum
June 5th 2018

Seventeen-year-old Carter Lane has wanted to be a chef since she was old enough to ignore her mom’s warnings to stay away from the hot stove. And now she has the chance of a lifetime: a prestigious scholarship competition in Savannah, where students compete all summer in Chopped style challenges for a full-ride to one of the best culinary schools in the country. The only impossible challenge ingredient in her basket: Reid Yamada.

After Reid, her cute but unbearably cocky opponent, goes out of his way to screw her over on day one, Carter vows revenge, and soon they’re involved in a full-fledged culinary war. Just as the tension between them reaches its boiling point, Carter and Reid are forced to work together if they want to win, and Carter begins to wonder if Reid’s constant presence in her brain is about more than rivalry. And if maybe her desire to smack his mouth doesn’t necessarily cancel out her desire to kiss it.

In a star system dominated by the brutal Vathek empire, eighteen-year-old Amani is a dreamer. She dreams of what life was like before the occupation; she dreams of writing poetry like the old-world poems she adores; she dreams of receiving a sign from Dihya that one day, she, too, will have adventure, and travel beyond her isolated moon.

But when adventure comes for Amani, it is not what she expects: she is kidnapped by the regime and taken in secret to the royal palace, where she discovers that she is nearly identical to the cruel half-Vathek Princess Maram. The princess is so hated by her conquered people that she requires a body double, someone to appear in public as Maram, ready to die in her place.

As Amani is forced into her new role, she can’t help but enjoy the palace’s beauty—and her time with the princess’ fiancé, Idris. But the glitter of the royal court belies a world of violence and fear. If Amani ever wishes to see her family again, she must play the princess to perfection…because one wrong move could lead to her death.

Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch

Addie is visiting Ireland for her aunt’s over-the-top destination wedding, and hoping she can stop thinking about the one horrible thing she did that left her miserable and heartbroken—and threatens her future. But her brother, Ian, isn’t about to let her forget, and his constant needling leads to arguments and even a fistfight between the two once inseparable siblings. Miserable, Addie can’t wait to visit her friend in Italy and leave her brother—and her problems—behind.

So when Addie discovers an unusual guidebook, Ireland for the Heartbroken, hidden in the dusty shelves of the hotel library, she’s able to finally escape her anxious mind and Ian’s criticism.

And then their travel plans change. Suddenly Addie finds herself on a whirlwind tour of the Emerald Isle, trapped in the world’s smallest vehicle with Ian and his admittedly cute, Irish-accented friend Rowan. As the trio journeys over breathtaking green hills, past countless castles, and through a number of fairy-tale forests, Addie hopes her guidebook will heal not only her broken heart, but also her shattered relationship with her brother.

That is if they don’t get completely lost along the way.

From Twinkle, with Love by Sandhya Menon
May 22nd 2018

Aspiring filmmaker and wallflower Twinkle Mehra has stories she wants to tell and universes she wants to explore, if only the world would listen. So when fellow film geek Sahil Roy approaches her to direct a movie for the upcoming Summer Festival, Twinkle is all over it. The chance to publicly showcase her voice as a director? Dream come true. The fact that it gets her closer to her longtime crush, Neil Roy—a.k.a. Sahil’s twin brother? Dream come true x 2.

When mystery man “N” begins emailing her, Twinkle is sure it’s Neil, finally ready to begin their happily-ever-after. The only slightly inconvenient problem is that, in the course of movie-making, she’s fallen madly in love with the irresistibly adorkable Sahil.

Twinkle soon realizes that resistance is futile: The romance she’s got is not the one she’s scripted. But will it be enough?

Told through the letters Twinkle writes to her favorite female filmmakers, From Twinkle, with Love navigates big truths about friendship, family, and the unexpected places love can find you.

When assassins ambush her best friend, the crown prince, Rielle Dardenne risks everything to save him, exposing her ability to perform all seven kinds of elemental magic. The only people who should possess this extraordinary power are a pair of prophesied queens: a queen of light and salvation and a queen of blood and destruction. To prove she is the Sun Queen, Rielle must endure seven trials to test her magic. If she fails, she will be executed…unless the trials kill her first.

A thousand years later, the legend of Queen Rielle is a mere fairy tale to bounty hunter Eliana Ferracora. When the Undying Empire conquered her kingdom, she embraced violence to keep her family alive. Now, she believes herself untouchable–until her mother vanishes without a trace, along with countless other women in their city. To find her, Eliana joins a rebel captain on a dangerous mission and discovers that the evil at the heart of the empire is more terrible than she ever imagined.

As Rielle and Eliana fight in a cosmic war that spans millennia, their stories intersect, and the shocking connections between them ultimately determine the fate of their world–and of each other.
