Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday {20}

Happy Wednesday Everyone!! We’re halfway through our week, and what a week it’s been. I hope all is well with you, and I am so excited to share with you guys a new book this week that I am SUPER excited about. It seems this year in the YA category we’re going to be getting a lot of books related to mental illness. Personally I am beyond excited for this not only because I deal with depression and anxiety, but because I hope these books open up the minds of people that may not understand mental illness and what it might be like to go through things like that on a day to day basis. So not only have I heard amazing things about this author and her debut novel, but this new book touches on anxiety and dealing with it on a day to day basis. So without further ado, let’s see this weeks book!
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli
April 11th 2017

Seventeen-year-old Molly Peskin-Suso knows all about unrequited love. No matter how many times her twin sister, Cassie, tells her to woman up, Molly can’t stomach the idea of rejection. So she’s careful. Fat girls always have to be careful.

Then a cute new girl enters Cassie’s orbit, and for the first time ever, Molly’s cynical twin is a lovesick mess. Meanwhile, Molly’s totally not dying of loneliness—except for the part where she is. Luckily, Cassie’s new girlfriend comes with a cute hipster-boy sidekick. If Molly can win him over, she’ll get her first kiss and she’ll get her twin back.

There’s only one problem: Molly’s coworker, Reid. He’s a chubby Tolkien superfan with a season pass to the Ren Faire, and there’s absolutely no way Molly could fall for him.

Right?

What is a book that you’re waiting to read??
