Waiting On Wednesday

"Waiting on" Wednesday {3}

Hey Everyone! So this is the first post that my internet/power has stayed on long enough in the past three days to let me post. Sorry I was away but this snow is just taking everything out in it’s path. Our power is up and running today so I am finally able to come back. Although I missed two days of posting because of it, don’t worry I’ll put them up as soon as I can. But in the mean time, here is my “Waiting on” Wednesday post and the two books I can’t wait for this week!

Abandon – Meg Cabot
Publish Date: April 26, 2011

I love any book by Meg and I am just so excited to read this and see what it’s all really about. Here’s what the synopsis says.

She knows what it’s like to die. Now Death wants her back. Seventeen-year-old Pierce knows what happens to us when we die.  That’s how she met John Hayden, the mysterious stranger who’s made returning to normal life—or at least life as Pierce knew it before the accident—next to impossible. Though she thought she escaped him—starting a new school in a whole new place—it turns out she was wrong. He finds her. What does John want from her? Pierce thinks she knows… just like she knows he’s no guardian angel, and his dark world isn’t exactly heaven. But she can’t stay away from him, either, especially since he’s always there when she least expects it, but exactly when she needs him most. But if she lets herself fall any further, she might find herself back in the place she fears the most.  And when Pierce discovers the shocking truth, that’s exactly where John sweeps her: The Underworld.

Where I Belong – Gwendolyn Heasley

Release Date: February 8th 2011

I fell in love with this book for the cover and just can’t wait to read it. It sounds like such a cute story line. Here’s the synopsis from Goodreads.

Meet Corrinne. She’s living every girl’s dream in New York City—shopping sprees at Barneys, open access to the best clubs and parties, and her own horse at the country club. Her perfect life is perfectly on track. At least it was. . . . When Corrinne’s father is laid off, her world suddenly falls apart. Instead of heading to boarding school, she’s stripped of her credit cards and shipped off to the boonies of Texas to live with her grandparents. On her own in a big public school and forced to take a job shoveling manure, Corrinne is determined to get back to the life she’s supposed to be living. She doesn’t care who she stomps on in the process. But when Corrinne makes an unlikely friend and discovers a total hottie at work, she begins to wonder if her life B.R.—before the recession—was as perfect as it seemed.”

  1. Oooh nice picks! I love anything by Meg Cabot so I'm immediately curious about all her works. The second sounds like a cute story and it takes place in my Texas! Yes, I said “my.” hehe 😀

    BTW I saw what you're currently reading and checked it out on goodreads. It looks JUST like my kind of read! So thanks for that 🙂 One of my friends' name is Evie so I'm going to have to tell her about it too, but darn, it comes out until April :/
